Day #200 - Fighting Procrastination


Last night i caught myself lying in bed after meditation and just looking at my phone aimlessly for around 30 minutes before i decided to get out of that situation and do the things i set out to do for the night.

Procrastination is a scary and mindless thing to do.
My whole life has been plagued with this.
But i have the resolve to fight against this.

Goals of the Day:
  • Create day's schedule for work and follow it

  • Diary update 
    • Achieved 
  • Fruitful discussion on wedding stuff with Dearest
    • Achieved
  • Plan schedule until the weekends

Day #199 - Dont Make Excuses


It is my future.
And I will make it happen.

Goals of the Day:
  • Organize schedule for the current week
    • Not Achieved
  • Exercise (30min)
    • Achieved (2.4km in 11min; best timing since my NS days)
  • Wedding matters (30min)
    • Achieved (looked at wedding car rental)
  • Mobile App Dev Course (30min)
    • Not Achieved
Guess I overplanned things for the evening.

Today's Small Wins:
  • Meditated for 10 min
  • Exercised and ran 2.4km in 11 min, something that I haven't been able to achieve for the longest time (maybe the recent NZ trip helped with the amount of hiking I did)
  • Put in time for wedding matters (but still need to be more efficient)
  • Managed to come up with a learning schedule for professional development at work
Today's Small Losses:
  • Woke up late
  • Didn't manage to organize schedule for the week 
  • Didn't manage to learn mobile app dev
  • Slept late

Day #198 - Keeping to schedule


It's been quite hectic since I got back from my holidays trip.
It's time to keep to schedule.

Goals of the Day:
  • Plan out schedule for the week

  • Work on wedding stuff for at least 30 min

  • Go through at least 1 lesson on app development
    • Not Achieved
  • No gaming today
    • Achieved
Had to change the day's plan as the Dearest's doctor still hasnt given the green light to get discharged.

  • Didnt waste time on gaming
  • Spent quality time with Dearest after work
  • Woke up on time

  • Didnt manage to do the things I have set out (but it's due to change of plan)
  • Forgot to take medicine before dinner

Day #197 - Being Prepared


A reminder to be prepared for life.
Be it financially, mentally, or physically.
At least this morning we didnt have to worry about the cost of possibility being admitted into the hospital.

Goals of the Day:
  • Be attentive and caring towards Dearest for the hospital trip and beyond
    • Achieved
  • Exercise (2.4km run)
    • Achieved (did 7 rounds)
  • Reorganize wedding and renovation tasks
    • Not Achieved
There was quite a bit of running around for the day until I reached home in the evening.
But I felt fortunate that I am here in Singapore when Dearest needed me.

  • Was able to take care of Dearest for the day
  • Managed to motivate myself to exercise in view of the upcoming half-marathon this Sunday
  • Had some me time to de-stress for the day
  • Meditated for 10 minutes
  • Woke up on time

  • Didn't manage to do personal work; indulged in gaming (not good)
  • Slept slightly late

Day #196 - Stay Positive, Work Hard

As much as it's not ideal for me to continue on working in the current state, I recognize it's my responsibility, and my attitude towards my work, and makes me want to make certain things happen.

So, to me, Stay positive, work hard, make it happen.

Goals of the Day:

  • Finish office work by 3pm
    • Not Achieved (left @ 6.30pm, but at least I finished my work)
  • Light exercise
    • Not Achieved
  • Reorganize tasks for wedding and renovation
    • Not Achieved
Body got quite tired after dinner at home
It feel like my body clock still hasn't completely adjust to the local time yet.
Therefore, didn't manage to do the other tasks that I have planned.

  • Spent my Sunday in office instead of other thing

To continue on my pursuits in life.

Missed out the goals setting on yesterday because I was just focused on work matters.
OT till my brain wasn't working at around 9pm, got home, and was too tired to do anything else.

Goals of the Day:
  • Finish unpacking and clearing my room

  • Settle personal administration (e.g. bills, NRIC application)
    • Achieved
  • Settle insurance claims for the medical fees incurred during the NZ trip
    • Achieved (missing Doctor's memo though, requesting from the medical centre)
  • Calculate the expenses from the NZ trip

  • Review wedding invites

  • Spend good quality time with Dearest

  • Get started on creating our wedding photo album

Day #193 - Rejunvenated, and back!


It wasn't really a relaxing holiday per se.
But it was definitely a precious experience for me.

Day #179 - Home, has a new meaning today.


We got our keys to our house today!
Although it was a big rush in the morning due to the stupid train delays, but overall, it was a nice day of doing rituals to bless the house, a cross-family lunch, and sitting on the dusty concrete discussing renovation works =p

  • Enjoy the process of key collection, house blessing, and renovation discussion with Dearest
