Day #139 - Time with myself

It's a day of me time, looking at reno stuff, and attending a friend's newborn celebration.
Got reminded of an old korean drama that I like a lot, A Gentlemen's Dignity.
The drama describes a close group of 4 men, their lives, and their relationships.
I wonder if my current group of friends will become closer, or further, as I age into my 40 in 10 years time.

Goals of the Day:
  1. Plan today and tml's schedule

  2. Examine the air-con trunking solution from the renovation open house

  3. Have a good evening with friends

  4. At least 30 min of video editing

Day #138 - Finishing Work Week

The last friday of the month!
Time to wind down and just leave all my worries aside for today after work, and intentionally go have some fun =_

  2. Organize a good interaction session with my colleagues
    • Done. Had a really good time playing the bomb defusal game with my colleagues
  3. Quality time with the Guys
    • Done. Had soccer and supper with them

Day #137 - Booked an adventure!

This morning, I have finally booked my adventure to New Zealand!

      • Done, but reserved the wrong restaurant after proudly telling Dearest. haha..

I have decided on a New Zealand solo trip.
It somehow got sparked off from a Facebook post promotion on Sunday, and I have since been seriously considering it.

Kinda feel like my motivation to do work is slowly getting back.
Perhaps it's the pressure to settle wedding arrangements, or it's the effects of the good rest.
Whichever the case, I should capitalize on them.

I kept reminding myself this when I was out jogging this morning.

Basically today is not really a productive day.
After spending time out, it was already late noon when I got back home.
An hour of rest, then I went to do house chores, dinner, and spend the rest of the evening researching on an upcoming trip.

Day #132 - Dragging my feet

I could feel that I'm getting less motivated to do work, and feel more emotionally repressed about not doing things that I enjoy.

A short house warming event took out a large part of the day.
The latter half was taken care of by my reluctance to do anything else.

Drove to work because of the rented car from yesterday, but got caught in the morning jam. Sigh.
Wanted to do get inspired to do work, and thought of downloading some inspirational quotes as wallpaper.
Next thing I knew, I spent $4.50 on Wallpaper Engine on Steam. hahaha..

First day back to work after 3 weeks of being away!

It was a long day at work.
By the time I reached home, I didn't really have much energy left.
But still manage to have a good conversation with Dearest before we rest for the night.

Had to settle quite a bit of things for the day.
Therefore, didn't have the luxury of time like previous 2 days to do all the things I set out to do.

  • Did some work on drafting out post's contents
  • Did some video editing work for the trip (completed the perth's part)

  • Have more energy compared to previous nights (but Dearest was a bit tired to chat)

So I shall cherish my free time away from work and distraction to focus on my goals.

  4. Take the chance to talk to some of my unit mates

Day #113 - Thinking what to do in camp

Finally, in my 9th ICT, I have really nothing much to do in camp.
To make good use of my time, I decided to bring my laptop and tablet into camp.
Hoping that I can make good use of my time in the week ahead.

Goals of the Day:

  1. Plan for the week ahead and decide on a concrete output to be out by Friday
    • Not Done
  2. Exercise 
    • Ran 2.4km
  3. Ensure I have adequate energy to have a good chat with Dearest at night
    • Didn't really have much energy,

  • Talking to a friend to understand his situation

  • Didn't manage to plan for the week ahead; just for today and tml
  • Still feel sleepy when it got past 10pm; need to rest more during the day
  • Didn't meditate (would be able to do it in bunk as my bunk buddy stays out)

It's the first Sunday since I got back from my trip.
Time to be productive!

  3. Plan out my day for today and the coming week
    • Didn't managed to do for the incoming week
  4. Organize and upload photos to (i) computer, (ii) google photos, and (iii) Facebook

Somewhat productive day in achieving the goals I have set out to do.
But half the day was also spent on hunting for the "mouse coin", which is an ongoing event locally.

It's been 14 days since the last update because I was away for my wedding photoshoot and holiday trip~
Time to get my engine started on this again.

  1. Pack my room (too messy after I got back from trip)
